History

In 2005 RF Giddings sawmill Southampton, England, was destroyed in a fire. Roséns, Söderhamn-Eriksson, and Ingvar Persson were selected as key suppliers for the rebuilding of the mill. The Giddings family also ordered a wanedetection- and optimization system. We were proud to install ROSCAN in the newly constructed green sorting line.

Customers showed increased interest in an automated sorting system for sawn timber. Improvement of ROSCAN for higher capabilities was complemented by the development of other systems. In 2008, we made the decision to commence engineering work for machine strength grading of sawn timber. From the beginning, the development of ROSGRADE has been in close cooperation with scientists, laboratories for destructive tests and enthusiastic customers.

The first ROSGRADE system was installed in close cooperation with Ekenäs Timber AB, Sweden in 2009.

We have come a long way since the start in 2005. Today our systems have delivered in several Nordic countries. For instance, Danish sawmills are now producing C24 on high and stable yield. In September of 2022 we received the confidence from Eigelshoven Holz in Würselen, Germany to install ROSGRADE in their new planing line.

Thank you all for cooperation so far. Let´s meet future together!
